Course Description

To have empathy means to recognize, understand, and share the feelings of others. People who have high levels of empathy are better able to understand the perspectives of others and act with kindness and compassion. Understanding another person's perspective is an important leadership skill that can help improve employee motivation, engagement, and retention. Being able to communicate and connect with people and have an understanding of how psychological safety contributes to teamwork and employee well-being is essential to being a successful supervisor. 

In this series of courses, you will learn:

  • What it means to show empathy and some actions you can take to create stronger connections and improve relationships with coworkers, clients, and customers
  • Tips for showing empathy to associates
  • How to practice effective communication
  • How to promote psychological safety in your workplace
