Course Description

In multifamily communities, it’s not just the hoarder who is at risk—family, pets, neighbors, and the community itself also experience negative consequences.

Understanding hoarding and recognizing its risks are only the first steps to addressing hoarding in your community. You must know your role and responsibilities when dealing with a hoarding situation and protecting your community.

In this course you will learn:

  • The definition, causes and signs of hoarding
  • potential health and safety hazards
  • Understand how the federal Fair Housing Act protects hoarders
